The Captain's House is a magnificent, estate-like property offering a grand, historic cape home plus a stunning guest cottage all poised on 13 acres of beautiful land leading to 585 ft. of gorgeous, sunset facing shoreline on Narraguagus Bay. The surprisingly spacious 4bed/3bath cape was originally built in 1764, by Captain Joseph Wallace, making it the first home in the area. Yet, it's been carefully retrofitted for comfortable, modern, year-round living. The home exudes warmth, history, and craftsmanship throughout with distinctive architectural touches including centuries-old wide plank flooring and the front hall's classic-curved wall design. With delightful historic charm, the main floor features a bright/cozy living room, large kitchen area (built-in dining space), welcoming front hall, large bedroom, and 2 full baths. Upstairs you'll find a lovely, second living room with soaring, vaulted ceilings, 3 additional bedrooms, and 1 full bath. The stunning, bright, and open-plan guest apartment is perched above the heated garage (with storage and built-in workspace). The apartment features a huge living area, vaulted ceilings, full bathroom, and kitchenette. Its private position would make it an ideal vacation rental. Fields of wildflowers and groomed paths lead to the barn and down to the elevated shore where you'll find breathtaking views- perfect for a gazebo or launching your kayak. The abutting land of 7acres/340feet of shoreline is also available and can be combined with this listing. This fantastic property, sold completely turnkey (all furnishings etc), is located on a quiet, wooded peninsula, just 5 minutes from the full-service, oceanfront village of Milbridge with its parks, grocery, pharmacy, banks, medical center, small restaurants, and arts center. Just 30 mins. to Schoodic Point in Acadia Nat'l Park / 1 hour to Bar Harbor in the MDI section of Acadia Nat'l Park, Quoddy Head Lighthouse, and Campobello Island Canada / 1.5 hours to Bangor Int'l Airport
